Strathcona County RCMP Investigates Robbery

Strathcona County, Alberta - Strathcona County RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in gathering information on the following crime:

On Sunday October 21, 2018 at approximately 7:42 p.m. Strathcona County RCMP responded to a robbery on Oak Street in Sherwood Park, Alberta. An 88-year-old female was walking from her vehicle to her residence when she was approached by a male. The male asked for a ride and when the female declined he grabbed the keys from her hand causing injury to a finger.

The male took off in her 2006 red Pontiac Torrent. The following day the vehicle was recovered in Edmonton.

The male is described as having a dark complexion, 5’7” to 6’0”, slim build and spoke with an accent. Last seen wearing a dark baggy hoodie and pants.

The victim was taken to hospital where she was treated for a broken finger.
