Strathcona County RCMP Arrest Male on Outstanding Warrants and Property Offences

Strathcona County, Alta. – On March 27, 2023 at 5:55 a.m., Strathcona County RCMP received a call of a vehicle that was stuck following a collision with a control box near Township Road 544 and Range Road 222 in Sherwood Park, Alta. Police attended and located a male at that location who refused to provide identification and attempted to flee the scene in the vehicle. With the assistance of Fort Saskatchewan RCMP members and the Police Dog Service the male was arrested. In addition, the male had outstanding warrants out of Strathcona County, Fort Saskatchewan and Redwater, Alta.

The vehicle was stolen out of Fort Saskatchewan the day prior. During a search of the vehicle incidental to arrest police located what is suspected to be 317 grams of methamphetamine and Canadian currency. 

Police determined that the same vehicle was involved in a hit and run in Fort Saskatchewan on March 21, 2023 at approximately 8:00 p.m.

Craig Perini (32) a resident of Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of stolen property (x2)
  • Obstruction

Perini was remanded into custody and scheduled to appear in court for multiple charges on April 20, 2023 in Sherwood Park, Alta.
