Strathcona County, Alta. – On Nov. 30, 2022, at approximately 3:02 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP were dispatched to a report of a serious multi-vehicle collision on Highway 14, east of Range Road 205, in Strathcona County, Alta.
Initial investigation revealed that a Dodge Ram travelling westbound on Highway 14 collided head-on with a semi truck travelling eastbound. The 26-year-old male driver of the Dodge Ram was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the Dodge Ram, a 59-year-old male resident of Spruce Grove, Alta., was declared deceased at the scene. The male driver of the semi truck was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Two additional vehicles were affected by the collision and received damages but no serious injuries occurred.
