Strathcona County RCMP and Strathcona County Enforcement Services Host Annual Bike Rodeo and Safety Fair

Sherwood Park, Alta. – The Strathcona County RCMP and Strathcona County Enforcement Services are pleased to announce the hosting of their annual bike rodeo and safety fair on Saturday, May 11, 2024. The event will occur at the Strathcona Athletic Park, at 1100 N, Cloverbar Road in Sherwood Park, Alta., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Children attending the bike rodeo can look forward to an exciting obstacle course where they will enhance their cycling skills through interactive bicycle techniques, bike safety education, drills, and traffic simulations. Mud Sweat and Gears will be on-site for bike tune-ups and helmet checks to ensure a safe riding experience.

The event will also feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including a free BBQ provided by Enbridge, popcorn, cotton candy, a bouncy castle, and airbrush tattoos. Attendees can explore various booths at the community safety fair, including Citizens On Patrol, Crime Watch, Victim Services, M.A.D.D., Strathcona County Emergency Services, and Edmonton Search and Rescue.

Residents will have the opportunity to attend two RCMP Police Dog demonstrations at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on the track and field space, with bleacher seating provided for viewing.
