Strathcona County RCMP Search Warrant Leads to Drug Seizure and Arrests

Strathcona County, Alta - Strathcona County Municipal Drug Unit began investigating a drug complaint at the beginning of January. As a result, on Jan.11, 2019 a search warrant was executed at a residence located in the northwest area of Edmonton, Alta. The warrant was executed with the assistance of the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) and additional members from Fort Saskatchewan and Morinville RCMP Detachments.

During the search several items were seized including drug paraphernalia, stolen credit cards and identification, cash, knives and a replica firearm. Police also seized what is suspected to be crystal meth, prescription bills and approximately 1 ounce of Fentanyl powder.

In total of fifteen people were taken into custody from the residence and between them sixty-seven arrests warrants were executed originating from Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Calgary area. Five of those individuals have been charged in regards to this investigation.

The investigation revealed the occupants of the residence were selling Fentanyl and other Substances from inside the residence.  

Sarah Colleen ADAMS (38) of Edmonton has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of ID documents
  • Possession of stolen credit card

Michael Kenneth GEIB (34) of Edmonton has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Possession of ID documents
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Possession of stolen credit card

Joseph William STALZER (31) of Edmonton has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Possession of stolen credit card
  • Possession of ID documents
  • Possession of stolen property

Andrew Dwayne WERTH (23) of Edmonton has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of stolen credit card
  • Possession of ID documents
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Fail to comply with probation
  • Fail to comply with recognizance

Rae-Lynn Valerie TYRLIK (30) of Edmonton has been charged with:

  • Possession of stolen credit card
  • Possession of ID documents
  • Identity fraud
  • Obstruction of a peace officer

ADAMS, WERTH and TYRLIK were released on a recognizance and GEIB and STALZER were remanded in custody. All five individuals are scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Wednesday Jan. 23, 2019.
