Strathcona County, Alta. – On October 29, 2020 Strathcona County RCMP and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Sheriffs Branch conducted a joint operation at the Ardrossan Vehicle Inspection Station.
An inspection was completed on a semi-tractor carrying lumber and deemed to be over the allotted weight on the drive axels. The vehicle was placed out of service and the 27-year-old driver from Ontario was issued a violation ticket.
The driver was not permitted to leave the scale until the load was adjusted and in compliance with legal weight limits. The vehicle left the weigh station without the proper adjustments being made and as a result the driver was issued another two violation tickets. Total amount of the three violations was $3287.
