Strathcona County, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP Crime Reduction Unit arrests a male on numerous conditions including 24 hour house arrest.
On Feb. 22, 2022 at 3:35 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP Crime Reduction Unit initiated a traffic stop after observing a traffic violation. The male driver failed to stop and continued to a nearby gas station.
Officers determined the male was on numerous conditions and as a result was arrested without incident. Police searched the vehicle and seized drug paraphernalia, ammunition and what is believed to be 12.3 grams of heroin.
Kelly Dawson (37) of Sherwood Park, Alta. has been charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Fail to comply (x5)
Dawson was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on March 2, 2022.
