Strathcona County RCMP Investigate Credit Card Fraud at Local Pharmacy

Strathcona County, Alberta – On February 20, 2018 Strathcona County RCMP responded to a fraud complaint at the Rexell Pharmacy located on Bremner Drive in Sherwood Park.

Two suspects entered the store and purchased a money order with a credit card. The clerk refunded the amount as credit cards can not be used to purchase money orders. The suspects then used a different credit card to receive the refund. It was determined stolen credit cards were used for both transactions.

Suspect #1:  Described as male, taller, thin and pale skin. Last seen wearing jeans, black sweater and dark hat with white emblem on it.

 

Suspect #2: Described as female, approximately 5'3", thin, brunette with brown eyes. Last seen wearing a grey sweater with pink shirt underneath, black pants and white sneakers.

 

Strathcona County RCMP are releasing a surveillance image in an attempt to identify the suspects.
