Strathcona County, Alberta – On Tuesday May 29, 2018 at 11:47 a.m. Strathcona County RCMP and Strathcona County Emergency Services responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 16 and Range Road 224.
A vehicle was travelling westbound on Highway 16 when it collided with an SUV travelling northbound on Range Road 224.
The male driver of the SUV was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Three additional occupants of the vehicle were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
One westbound lane will be re-opening within the next hour.
All contributing factors into this collision are being investigated and further information will be released once available.
