Strathcona County RCMP Investigate Pedestrian Collision

Sherwood Park, Alta. - On Oct. 23, 2021 at 8:10 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP and Strathcona County Emergency Services responded to a pedestrian collision at the intersection of Jim Common Drive and Sherwood Drive in Sherwood Park, Alta.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was turning southbound on Sherwood Drive from Jim Common Drive when it struck a pedestrian.

The 13-year-old victim was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.

The 17-year-old male driver did not sustain any injuries and remained on scene until first responders arrived.

Strathcona County RCMP along with an RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate the cause of the collision.  No charges have been laid at this time.
