Strathcona County RCMP investigate bomb hoax at local high school - update
Sherwood Park, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP have successfully identified the individual responsible for the bomb threat at Bev Facey on June 17, 2024.
Following a thorough investigation, it was determined that a 17-year-old male from Michigan, USA, was behind the threat. It was confirmed that the male had no connections to the school or community, making the incident appear to be random.
The safety and well-being of students and staff are of utmost importance, and the school acted swiftly and effectively upon receiving the threat to ensure the safety of all individuals present. Threats to schools are taken very seriously, and we are grateful for the quick response and cooperation of all involved in handling this situation.
