Strathcona County RCMP are Seeking Public Assistance in Locating Subject on Warrant

Strathcona County, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance to locate Tayler Rozak (26) of Edmonton, Alberta. Taylor Rozak was arrested for eleven criminal code offences on Aug. 22, 2019, but failed to attend a scheduled court date on Feb 12, 2020. As a result an arrest warrant was issued. Despite attempts, Strathcona County RCMP have been unable to locate her.

Strathcona County Municipal Drug Unit Arrest Male for Drug Trafficking

Strathcona County, Alta. – As the result of a drug complaint and investigation the Strathcona County Municipal Drug Unit executed a search warrant on June 18, 2020 at an Edmonton residence with the assistance of RCMP General Duty members.

During the search police seized several items including what is suspected to be over 120 grams of cocaine, .22 loaded revolver handgun, ammunition drug paraphernalia, stun gun and Canadian currency.

Traffic Disruptions

Strathcona County RCMP advises there will be some traffic disruptions on Ebony Road, Amberley Way and Emerald Drive on June 26, 2020 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Archbishop Jordan Catholic High School will be hosting a 2020 Graduation Car Parade Event for their grade 12 students.

Traffic disruptions will include;

  • Single lane closure – Right lane of Emerald Drive, from Ebony Road to Archbishop Jordan Student access parking from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Full road closure of Ebony Blvd from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Strathcona County RCMP on Scene of Collision Involving Train - Update

Strathcona County, Alta. – At approximately 9:33 a.m. Strathcona County RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a car and CP train near Range Road 222 and Township Road 544.

The car was travelling north on Range Road 222 when it collided into the side of the eastbound travelling CP train.

The 71-year-old driver of the car was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. The CP train sustained minimal damage and no hazardous materials were involved.

Strathcona County, Alta. – The Strathcona County RCMP are currently on scene of a motor vehicle collision involving a car and CP train near Range Road 222 and Township Road 544.

Traffic is being re-routed around the area until further notice. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

No further details are available at this time. An update will be provided when additional information become available.

Strathcona County RCMP on Scene of Two Vehicle Collision –Highway 216 – UPDATE #2

Strathcona County, Alta. – On June 18, 2020 at approximately 11:15 a.m., Strathcona County RCMP responded to a collision involving a truck and a semi-tractor on Highway 216 southbound near the Sherwood Park Freeway exit.

Preliminary investigation revealed the truck was reversing on the right shoulder of the Highway when it struck the passenger side of the semi-tractor carrying diesel fuel. The semi-trailer caught fire, crossing all southbound lanes into the meridian.

Both drivers were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Strathcona County RCMP on Scene of Two Vehicle Collision – Highway 216

Strathcona County, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP are currently on scene of a two vehicle collision on Highway 216 southbound between a pickup truck and semi-truck.

Traffic is being re-routed southbound at Baseline Road and northbound at Wye Road until further notice.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area or expect delays.
