Strathcona County RCMP Investigate Fatal Collision

Strathcona County, Alberta – On July 1, 2018 at approximately 12:09 a.m. Strathcona County RCMP and Strathcona County Emergency Services responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 216 in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

The vehicle was travelling west on Highway 16 and lost control while on the Highway 216 southbound ramp.

The 46-year-old male driver of the vehicle was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

The name of the deceased is not being released.

Strathcona County RCMP Requesting Public's Assistance in Sudden Death

Strathcona County, Alberta - Strathcona County RCMP are requesting the public's assistance regarding the death of 34-year-old Myrah (Murray) Whitstone, a trans woman who was connected to the transgender community in Edmonton. Myrah was located deceased near Range Road 213 north of Highway 16 on March 24th, 2018.

 

The police investigation has identified Myrah's last known whereabouts along 118 Avenue and 83 Street in Edmonton.

 

Strathcona County RCMP Investigate Three Thefts From One Yard

Strathcona County, Alberta – Strathcona County RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in gathering information on the following crime:

Between May 13, 2018 and May 28, 2018 suspects(s) entered a yard on Glamorgan Drive in Sherwood Park on three separate occasions stealing various lawn items such as; gnomes, lights and a metal rooster.

On May 28, 2018 surveillance caught a male taking a metal rooster and light from the complainant’s yard.

Strathcona County Investigate Hit and Run at Shoeless Joe’s

Strathcona County, Alberta – Strathcona County RCMP are asking the public for assistance in identifying a female responsible for a hit and run in the Shoeless Joe’s parking lot on Broadmoor Boulevard in Sherwood Park.

On May 9, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. the complainant observed significant damage to driver’s side of his truck when exiting the restaurant.  

Strathcona County RCMP Investigate Serious Collision on Highway 16 ***UPDATE***

Strathcona County, Alberta – On Tuesday May 29, 2018 at 11:47 a.m. Strathcona County RCMP and Strathcona County Emergency Services responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 16 and Range Road 224.

A vehicle was travelling westbound on Highway 16 when it collided with an SUV travelling northbound on Range Road 224.

The male driver of the SUV was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The male driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
